How much will a photo session cost? It can seem like a big investment, but family photos actually are one thing you'll pay for that only increases in value. Years down the road, you won't regret having images catching the way your baby looks up at you or your preschooler's unbridled laugh.
Every session with me is built around real, authentic moments featuring your family as you actually are, captured in beautiful natural light or in the comfort of your home. Below you'll find the four ways to work with me, from a quick and joyful mini or petite session to the full luxury experience. Each family is unique, and each session is different, and so I offer options in each pricing tier.
I offer print packages because I know how difficult it can be to sort through photos and decide what to frame, how to frame it, and where to put it in your home. I take care of all of the artwork production for you, so you can have the experience of having a finished, beautiful product available for your home after your session. I partner with custom printers, framers, and fine art album makers to provide quality, archival products for your family to treasure.

Signature Family Session
$800+
• 60–90 minute session, at home or outdoors.

Heirloom Family Session
$950
• Everything in the Signature Session — 60–90 minutes, film + digital, one or two locations
• Full gallery: every beautifully edited image from your session
• Your choice of a print credit of 10 8×10 fine art prints, or an heirloom glass box of prints
Petite Family Session
$425
• 20 minute session, one location
• 20 fully edited digital images delivered via online gallery
• Prints, albums, and wall art available à la carte
• Option to purchase additional images from your gallery- $25/ image or $375 for full gallery
Mini Sessions
$300+ (depending on location)
• A few dates of fall Minis held in a specific location
• 10–15 minute session
• 8 edited images included

FAQ
What is the difference between a Mini Session and Petite Session?
Mini Sessions take place in a specific location and you chose a specific time slot at that location. These are very fast and are perfect for cards, announcements, or seasonal updates. They are 10-15 minutes- fast!
Petite Sessions are 20 minutes in one location that we choose together. It can be a garden, the arboretum, your backyard, your favorite ice cream shop... They're what I think of as an introductory session with me, so you can see how we work together and decide later on your gallery choices. They're a great choice for families with young children who might not want to invest in a full session but want more depth and a broader gallery than what a Mini Session can offer. Also a wonderful choice for a family who is having photos taken for the first time and wants to get comfortable with me! Petite sessions are held within Yolo County/ Sacramento area (travel fee will apply if greater than 1 hour outside this region).
Tell me more about your full session offerings?
The Signature Family Session is a full 1-1.5 hour long session at the location of your choosing (in-home or outdoors). After your session, you receive 100+ hand-edited images in a beautifully curated online gallery. You choose your favorite 60 images to download, or you may decide to purchase additional images to download or upgrade to the full gallery. These are the sessions that truly showcase your family and your relationships. We have the time to get to more emotive images and your gallery reflects variety and depth. Kids have time to get comfortable with me and in front of the camera and natural personalities shine through. These sessions are captured on both film and digital for a timeless, layered gallery. Prints, albums, and wall art available à la carte after your gallery reveal and I am available to help you select images and create prints.
My Heirloom Family Session features everything that is included in the Signature session, but it also includes final printed artwork from your session. It is a quality, storytelling session incorporating film, culminating with a finished product once your gallery is delivered. You choose between 10 8×10 fine art prints, or a custom glass heirloom photo box with 25 5×7 fine art prints inside. Both are beautiful, archival pieces that feature thoughtfully curated images in your gallery that can be passed down in your family. The Heirloom Session is perfect for the client who knows they want to end up with a suite of prints in their hands. Additionally, my assistance creating gallery walls, custom framing, and artwork are offered as part of this collection.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based in Davis, California (which is outside of Sacramento). I travel all over Northern California, including the Bay Area. I offer sessions in the Sacramento area, Yolo County, Sonoma and Napa without a travel fee. Distances greater than 1.5 hours will have a small travel fee.
I travel outside of California too! I offer sessions in Phoenix, Arizona usually without a travel fee as I am there a few times per year.
When will we get our photos?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos typically within 2-4 weeks (depending on your session type, and the season I photograph your story). You can download your selected photos from the gallery, share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints and artwork for your home.
How many pictures will we receive and will they all be edited?
The number of pictures in your galleries is dependent on how long your session is. A typical full-session gallery will have more than 100 images, and a typical petite session gallery will have at least 80 images (of which you choose your favorite 20).
Your gallery will contain all of the best curated images from your session and you choose the number of images depending on your session type.
All of the images in your gallery will be hand-edited, meaning that I spend time with each image to make sure the color, lightness, and overall quality looks perfect and cohesive. Film from your session will be scanned in a professional lab and slightly edited to match color before being added to your gallery. I take the time that your images deserve and they are perfectly color-matched to my specific print labs, ready to go for print-ordering.
What is not included?
Additional fees that might apply to a session are:
Site fees, if a venue requires us to pay for time spent. Typically site fees range from $50-100 but we can always find options that don't require fees. For example, wineries or private gardens and farms require nominal booking fees.
Travel fees: only applies if you are outside of my area- just ask me!
Film upgrade: for Petite Sessions, I offer a film upgrade to the digital-only sessions at $65/roll

How do I prepare for a session?
Most of my clients say that they felt so prepared and ready for their sessions with me. My goal is to make the photography process as easy as possible.
All sessions include access to my custom style guide, which are outfit suggestions, color palettes, and location ideas tailored to your family so you walk into your session feeling confident and prepared.
I have a growing client closet of women's and children's clothing, so that might also be an option for your session if you choose.
I encourage you to take me up on a pre-session phone call with me (for full sessions and petites). I can get to know you, answer any questions you might have, and help determine the best location for your family. You'll be able to fill out a questionnaire to answer some information about your family so that I know all important details coming into your session.
We work together to choose your location based on your family's interests and the aesthetic goals you have for your session. I am constantly looking for and finding amazing locations.
I am always available by email or text to answer questions you might have before your session. The goal is for it to be as low-stress and simple as possible. Most clients find the process fun and easy, and the session itself to be low-key and full of sweet memories.

I have a discount for teachers.
Weekday session discounts on full family sessions and petite sessions.
